Shin Kong Mitsukoshi (SKM) is Taiwan’s leading department store chain. The project aimed to enhance the mall environment by introducing warmth, visual storytelling, and a refined, stylish atmosphere, while incorporating a child-friendly design concept. The Kids Land space features hand-drawn animals in geometric collages, representing over 60 species from land, sea, and reptiles, rendered in bold, minimalist forms. These artworks can be arranged into large-scale installations, displayed individually, or adapted into puzzle-themed merchandise, creating playful, imaginative, and interactive experiences. The use of wood textures further elevates the space’s aesthetic quality while reinforcing an eco-conscious design approach.
